Joshua Rush graduated from Belfast School of Art before heading onto Swansea School of Art where he graduated in MA illustration, receiving The Hayden John James prize for Storytelling through illustration from The Glynn Vivian Gallery.

Josh combines watercolour and digital media to create vibrant colours and textures that have both simplicity and depth to attract young eyes, whilst challenging perceptions. He draws inspiration from his sketchbook watercolours that he makes out and about on walks, trips and holidays, and as a teacher he is prone to testing out story ideas or visuals on the children!
